eosDAC Announces First Approved Worker Proposals, Prioritising Block Production, and DAC Toolkit

Posted on: Mid July

Today we would like to share the initial product of one of the non-code ‘open source’ systems we are implementing at eosDAC – the worker proposal system. Worker proposals allow anybody to propose work – framed as a deliverable – and, if approved by the Custodian board, receive funding from eosDAC. We have borrowed this model of worker-initiated project funding from various blockchain projects and specifically from the framework proposed by block.one for EOS itself.

A Big Step Towards Our Decentralized Future: I’ve Joined the eosDAC Launch Team!

Posted on: Early April

Back in 2013 when I started my bitcoin journey, I learned about the terms “DAC” and “DAO.” My mind was totally blown.

A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), sometimes labeled a decentralized autonomous corporation (DAC), is an organization that is run through rules encoded as computer programs called smart contracts. A DAO’s financial transaction record and program rules are maintained on a blockchain. The precise legal status of this type of business organization is unclear.
